Alleluia, He is Risen!
This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it.
Easter is the culmination of the Mystery of Salvation. Jesus Christ, the Son of the living God, is raised from the dead and our redemption is secured. We rejoice because God fulfills the ancient promise made to the human race that He would free us from our sins and share with us His own life.
As we come together in our parishes, our communities and in our homes, we recognize the bonds that unite us in Christ Jesus. All of us who were Baptized into His death are destined to share a like Resurrection with Him.
When we celebrate the traditions of our faith and our families, we join together in praise of the God who loves us so very much. It is that love which we share with each other, not just on Easter, but throughout the year.
May the Lord bless you and all those you love on this feast of the Resurrection of the Lord. Let us all pray for each other, that the joys of our celebration of Easter may last throughout the coming year.
