Social Awareness Forum

The Social Awareness Forum of St. Paul the Apostle Church is called to prayerfully inform and promote the gospel values of peace, Christian non-violence and social justice in union with the Universal Church and all people of goodwill.

As baptized Christians, to be instruments of peace, love, reconciliation and justice; together with all people of goodwill to:
  • Gather all those members of the parish called by faith to struggle for social justice.
  • Discern how violence in all its forms affects our inclination to live out the gospel message of the Beatitudes both individually and collectively.
  • Inform and educate ourselves on social issues and listen to the creative Holy Spirit, who respects all life as a gift, and discern what positive actions the peace of Christ speaks to our hearts.
  • Participate in a faithful on-going response in the redemptive work of Jesus Christ.
